Backstage with Westone - Jars of Clay

This past Thursday night the Westone Music team met up with Jars of Clay at The Ogden Theater in Denver, CO.  Jars of Clay is currently out on their Long Fall Back to Earth Tour. Their new album, The Long Fall Back to Earth just released this past April. The guys are using a mix of Westone ES2 and ES3X musicians' monitors while on tour. We highly recommend catching them live in concert and picking up their album!! Check out the rest of the photos in our album.

Westone Signs on as Backstage Artist Lounge Sponsor at Rock on the Range

This May 16th & 17th, Westone Music will be the official sponsor of the Backstage Artist Lounge at Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH. With a lineup that includes Flyleaf, Shinedown, Buckcherry, Alice in Chains, Korn and Motley Crue this is going to be one rawkfest for sure!  Tickets are still available, so make sure to get them while you can. We'll be posting more once things get going. Never know what will happen backstage with this lineup!!

40th Annual Dove Awards

Last week the Westone Music team was in Nashville for GMA Music Week and the 40th Annual Dove Awards. The first few days of the week (GMA Music Week) is a time for industry heavyweights to get together, new artists to be shopping their music and Indies to learn more about the industry. We were on hand connecting with several of our artists and friends, showing off the new UM3X and introducing new artists to Westone Music. The week is packed with nightly artist/label showcases, so sleep is optional throughout the week.

Backstage with Westone - Rock and Worship Roadshow

 

On Thursday the Westone Music team was able to meet-up with quite a concert line up in Denver; MercyMe, Jeremy Camp, Hawk Nelson, Tenth Avenue North and The Afters. Quite a few DOVE and GRAMMY awards and nominations in that line up!  The Rock and Worship Roadshow is a cool idea in that it's only $10 at the door, no tix.  If it has not hit your area yet, we highly recommend catching this show. Back at the Contemporary Music Center

The Westone Music team got back to Martha's Vineyard yesterday to meet with the students of Semester 16.  We'll be spending a few days out here at The Contemporary Music Center again getting to know the students and introducing them to Westone.  Currently we're sitting in a Critical Listening Class (AKA listening to AMAZING tracks for an hour)... yeah we wish we were students as well!  We'll post more during our visit out here.

Backstage with Westone - The James Douglas Show

Last night we caught up with The James Douglas Show up in Denver.  These guys put on an amazing live show. If funk is your thing, then this needs to be your band!  Their current album The New Black is a great collection of tunes. The band is using a mix of the Westone Elite Series monitors.

Westone Announces Endorsement with Combichrist

Metropolis Records recording artist Combichrist is the latest to join the Westone Family.  Their latest album, Today We Are All Demons, just released Jan 20th. If you're the power/techo crowd, you need this album!  We'll be catching up with the band this weekend, so check in next week for some live shots!

Westone Announces Endorsement with Rodney Atkins

Platinum selling and Curb Records recording artist Rodney Atkins is the latest member to join the Westone Family.  Rodney and his band will be using the Westone ES3 and the new Westone ES3X.  This past weekend we met up with Rodney and his band in Denver.  We've got some photos in our Album Section.  Rodney has a new album, Simple Things coming out March 31st. In the meantime check out If You're Going Through Hell. It's one album you'll be glad you picked up!

The NAMM Show

This week the Westone Music Team will be heading to Anaheim, CA for the annual Winter NAMM Show. The NAMM show is the largest show of it's kind here in North America. Just about anything you can think of that can be played on, through, with etc will be shown at this show.  If you are attending the NAMM Show come by and see us at booth 6995 in Hall A. We'll have our world famous silent band, the Bedlam Baldies, performing in the booth daily. These guys flat out ROCK!

Oh and there might even be something new to check out...??

Backstage With Westone - Creation Festival the Tour

This past Saturday we drove up to Greenwood Village (south of Denver) and met up with several of our friends out on the Creation Festival tour. It's quite the show, 9 bands and over 5 1/2 hours of pure, fist pumping rock n' roll. This was one show we were happy to have our custom hearing protction with us. Some of the bands playing were Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar, Fireflight, Worth Dying For and several others. It was quite fun! The tour is winding down, but if you live in TX they will be down there this week, catch it if you can.  We'll post a few pics from the Fireflight set in our Photo Album.

On Site With the Contemporary Music Center - Day 2

So yeah, we meant to post on Thursday night, but things went really, REALLY late into the night/morning. More on that later...

Thursday morning started off with completing the ear impressions for students and staff at the Contemporary Music Center.  After that we were invited to speak to the student body about hearing protection and personal monitors.  Jeff started things off with a brief overview of Westone and why we believe teaming up with the CMC is important.  Doug followed by going in depth on the product line and what is best for each performer/musician. Michael then closed things out by going more into hearing health while on stage or around the stage. 

The Contemporary Music Center

This Tuesday, Jeff our Music Products Director and Doug our Marketing Specialist from the Music team along with Michael, one of our staff Audiologists, will be heading to The Contemporary Music Center located on Martha's Vineyard.  We're teaming up with this amazing campus that really pushes students deep into either their artist development or management education of the music industry. We will also have the opportunity to speak to the students during a lecture hour about hearing protection, personal monitors and the history of Westone.  If you are a music student serious about a career and looking to get a head start, make sure to give the CMC a look!

We'll be posting some pics and updates while on our trip.
