Bio: One of the best all-around riders in North America, Rory Sutherland is a proven team leader. Rory's incredible 3rd place finish atop the grueling Sierra Road in San Jose, California during this year's Amgen Tour of California's Stage 4, helped propel the veteran rider and Team captain to a 7th place overall finish in the nation's biggest race. In addition, Sutherland won two stages at this year's Nature Valley Grand Prix, as well as landing on the podium in 2nd or 3rd place at the Vuelta a Asturias and Settimana di Coppi e Bartali. Rory has worked hard to enjoy a celebrated career that has included more than 15 stage wins in U.S. races, winning the U.S. NRC individual points title two years in a row, and repeating his overall titles at the Joe Martin and Nature Valley Stage races. Previously named Domestic Roadie of the Year by VeloNews, Sutherland has stood on many podiums throughout his career, including twice during the 2010 Tour of California and once during the race's 2011 edition.
